Connected Embedded Systems to grow to 1/3 of all embedded devices by 2015

on Mon, 09/19/2011 - 14:09

According to this new IDC research report released in September 2011, connected embedded systems will grow from 19% to one-third of all embedded devices, on track to realize the Internet of Things vision. This is consistent with what we see from our current projects covering application in industrial, civil structural integrity, and environmental monitoring. All of them share the same architecture of low-cost edge sensors and analytics hosted on cloud.

NFPA 2011 in Boston

on Wed, 06/22/2011 - 15:55

We showed off the sprinker and nozzle attachments at the National Fire Protection Association Conference and Expo from June 12 to 14 in Boston Convention Center. This is the first time we had attended a conference and exposition in the fire protection industry. It was great to get first hand feedback. A few actually remembered Evin's prototype favorably in Las Vegas a year ago.

Fire fighters were pretty consistent in their praise for the nozzle attachment, saying they could have used this device many many times in their missions. This is clearly a product that is serving a unfulfilled need.
